Lewis, Lisa and Leon are super people, kind and caring and Gareth absolutely loves them. His tail starts wagging the moment we turn into their road when we drop him off at daycare. He literally has the BEST time there and we know he is being very well looked after. We certainly wouldn't leave him with just anyone!! It really is a home from home for him and I know I can contact them anytime to make sure he's ok. I'm sure if Gareth could talk for a day it'd be about Assisi's and how much he loves them!! We recommend their services to everyone and we would be lost without them. They genuinely love all of the dogs they care for and this shows in the great work they do
My dog, Bluebell, has benefitted from Assisi's on many occasions for over a year, ranging from one hour walks to stays of one week. Bluebell loves going to see Lisa and Lewis and I am always completely happy leaving her with them. They take the time to understand your dog's routine and needs and you can be assured that if your dog needs lots of cuddles, she/he will get them. Also, it isn't just your dog who will be happy. I have found them extremely professional and reliable. My enquiries about their availability are always answered promptly and they are very well organised.
Claire and Bluebell
My name is Lewis Mills, I am the co-owner of Assisi's Pet Care. I have a long history with animals having always had pets. In fact, I haven't known a single day without them. My first dog was a beautiful Doberman called Bella who inspired my love for animals. I was fortunate enough to work from an early age in a pet shop getting to know and understand different mammals, amphibians and reptiles. I learnt a great deal about handling techniques and it was here I encountered my first bites and scratches. I attended the College of Animal Welfare to acquire my Veterinary Nursing qualification whilst simultaneously working at a Veterinary practice in Cuffley full time.
Veterinary Nursing involves numerous skills including radiography, laboratory investigation and anaesthesia.
My special interest in practice was rabbits and wildlife. I have been 'Daddy' to many fledglings with 'Schmoo' the collared dove being my greatest success.
I also attained a Dorwest Herbs qualification so am knowledgeable about herbal products from the Dorwest range.
I trained as a canine hydrotherapist in 2008 and I got to meet some very special animals that have endured so much but were finally getting well.
I love my work and enjoy meeting every one of the animals entrusted to my care and feel very lucky to be looking after your pet.
